CBD art project
Living in a pop up trailer with no internet is not conducive to writing a blog but things are about to change. I approached Hamilton CBD with the intention of finding a philanthropist who would be prepared to give me a free studio, even a shop front that I could be artist in residence in. Lets walk and talk say Ree the CBD manager, next thing we are standing in some vacant lease shops 300 m. square split on 3 floors. Will this do? Hmmm a bit small I thought! Well that certainly upped the ante so I am in the midst of negotiations to secure the space until the end of the year to function as a Wintec Media Arts graduate space to hold art events and studio space. Soooo within the next few weeks I will be painting again and coordinating an artist run space. It doesn't get more exciting than that.
